Spent a bit of time trying to finalize my avionics choices. I already purchased (used) my audio panel (Apollo SL-15), GPS/COM (Apollo GX-60), NAV/COM (Apollo SL30), and Transponder (Apollo SL-70). I think I have settled on the GRT EFIS, dual screen with engine information system, for the primary PFD. In addition I have purchased 2.25" altimeter (Winter) and airspeed (Van's). I will likely add a 2.25" ADI and, eventually, Trutrak autopilot.I have been trying to figure out whether I can stack the EFIS screens vertically. After much pondering and measuring, it really will not work on th estandard Van's panel (and due to my height, I cannot afford a taller panel). Thus I think I will be laying out the screens side by side. I think it works.
