Brief Description: Riveted rear frame channel in place
|
|
1. Clecoed rear frame channel in place, using clecoes in alternate holes.
2. Pulled A5 rivets in alternate hole from aircraft bottom.
3. Removed clecoes, and pulled A5 rivets in remaining holes.
4. Clecoed port and stbd 6B5-6 to rear frame channel.
5. Clecoed 6B5-3 to 6B5-6s.
6. Pulled A5 rivets from the front of 6B5-3-6B5-6 juncture.
7. Fabricated "L" angle brace between 6B5-2 and 6B5-3 per dwg 6B5-23.
8. Punched rivet location on "L" angle.
9. Pilot drilled with #40 bit.
10. Clamped to 6B5-2 amd 6B5-3; back drilled and clecoed alternate rivet holes.
11. Opened holes with #30 bit for A4 rivets.
12. Removed brace, deburred holes, and primed mating areas on 6B6-2 and 6B5-3, zinc chromate primer.
13. After primer had cured, re-clecoed, and riveted with A4 rivets.
14. Did not rivet aft spar attach plates 6B5-4 at this time.
