Brief Description: Painted top of instrument panel
After some thought, I realized that the next time I painted the fuselage, I really need the canopy closed. But that would leave the top of the instrument panel unpainted. I also felt it would be better painted flat black, to reduce glare.
1) Taped off top cowling, except that part covered by the canopy. 2) Taped off instrument panel. 3) Cleaned surface with Simple Green, then MEK. 4) Cleaned removable panel with Simple Greenr, then MEK. 5) Installed removable panel with corener screws. 6) Removed aircraft from shop, so canopy would fully extend. 7) Primed panel surface with automotive primer. 8) Shot one coat of flat black over primer. 9) Removed tape. 10) Closed canopy, and returned aircraft to shop.
