Brief Description:  Lightspeed planning

I did more planning on the Lightspeed installation. It's a good thing I did, because I immediately found that I can't go much further without tools/material.

I installed the adapters and spark plugs on the two cylinders which are installed on the engine. I had no trouble with the plug adapters. I coated the treads with anti-sieze compund, and torqued them to 25 foot-pounds, per the Lightspeed manual.

I coated the spark plugs with anti-sieze compound, and installed them finger-tight. Until I pick up a 13/16 deep well socket, however, I can't torque them to the required 15 foot-pounds.

I also examined the battery lead requirements for Lightspeed. The cables they sent are only 5' in length; I need 8' cables. They'll have to be exchanged. I'm building a list of the interactions needed with them.

But since the impluse sensors are a part of the same connector, they can't be installed yet, either. The spark coils look as though they need to be hung from the engine mount with adel clamps. The correct size clamps are on order.

The electrical feed, as noted, doesn't have a long enough cable. It's also short two circuit breakers, and two switches. The circuit breakers are on order, and the switches will be ordered as soon as they can be fully identified.
