Brief Description: Checked starter for fit, mated crankcase
1. Temporarily set rear case on the crankcase to fit check the starter. 2. Placed starter in position - still has interferrence fron part # 634461, adapter assy, starter clutch. 3. Cut adapter assy flush with rear of crankcase. 4. Checked starter again - fits! 5. Smeared mating surfaces of crankcase half not mounted with Permatex, and added a thread per overhaul manual. 6. Smeared mating surfaces of crankcase half on engine stand. 7. Recheck timing gear positions, and mated the two halfs. 8. Installed mating bolts, and torqued per overhaul limits tables. 9. Checked crankcase rotation around crankshaft, and camshaft rotation - both smooth and free. 10. Installed rear case gasket. 11. Installed rear case on crankcase. 12. Installed and torqued nuts on rear case per overhaul limits tables.
