Brief Description: cleaned and painted half of crankcase
1. Scrubbed one half of crankcase with Scotchbrite and MEK, payinhg particular attention to mating surfaces. 2. Wiped off residue. 3. Coated exterior with paint stripper. 4. Removed stripper with water hose. 5. Dried with pressure air, and repeated stripper coat. 6. After drying, coated with foam degreaser, and allowef to sit for half an hour or so. 7. Washed with water, dryed with pressure air. 8. Coated surfaces to be painted with weak acid bath, both to neutralize any remaining stripper, and to open aluminum for paint.. 9. Allowed acid to act in heated chamber for ~ half an hour. 10. Washed off acid with water. 11. Dried with pressure air. 12. Painted with Continental engine paint.
