During the wing installation, the skin was damaged on both sides at the main spar/fuselage junction. This was the result of tooling placing sufficient force on the spar to force it into the fuselage carry-through spar. A similar amount of damage occurred to the fuselage skin.
I fabricated a reinforcement for the fuselage skin and the wing skin for both sides. Matching existing holes, and making new holes as required, the reinforcements were riveted in using A5 rivets.
I decided to wait on painting the reinforcements and similar items until flight test is complete.
