Brief Description: Installed aileron fairleads at fuselage exits.
1) Marked cut and drill pattern on nylon fairlead material. 2) Punched hole locations 3) Drilled pilot holes with #40 bit. 4) Opened mounting holes with #20 bit. 5) Opened aileron cable holes with 1/2" bit. 6) Deburred holes. 7) Positioned first fairlead on stbd side, and punched locating hole. 8) Removed fairlead, and drilled holes with #40 bit. 9) Clecoed fairlead in place, and drilled remaining mounting holes with #40 bit. 10) Opened holes with #20 bit for A5 rivets. 11) Riveted fairlead in place with A5 rivets. 12) Repeated steps 2-11 for other stbd fairlead, and the two port fairleads.
