Brief Description: Installed elevator pushrods and bellcrrank
Riveted the holes in the F-840 pushrod I had previously left open to allow the primer to dry.
Riveted the elevator bellcrank assembly.
Installed the rod end bearings and jamb nuts on the pushrods and adjusted their length as per DWG 79.
Installed the pushrods and bellcrank in the fuselage. I used some dental floss to hold the spacer washers in position while inserting the bolt - works like a charm.
With the elevators clamped in their neutral position I adjusted the forward rod end on the F-841 pushrod to get the control sticks perpendicular to the upper longerons. (Used the digital level to check the angle of the sticks relative to the upper longerons)
Unclamped the elevators and couldn't believe how smooth and balanced the controls are - time to make some airplane noises!
