I painted the canopy frame and windshield bow flat back. Riveted the lock tab in place. Carefully fastened the canopy to the frame using machine screws rather than rivets. I also placed a small rubber washer between the canopy and frame in most places. In some spots I needed to raise the canopy a bit to match the turtledeck so I added two washers. All that is left now is to fabricate a canopy lock.
