I mounted the EGT and CHT sensors per plans. The base of the CHT sensors needed to be bent a bit to clear the cylinder fins in the spark plug hole. I had a bit extra length on the left side leads, so I coiled them -- you do not want to shorten them.I'm using the throttle quadrant, so the throttle cable goes directly into the carb, where it hooks into the throttle slide. I relocated the throttle cable grommet on the firewall so the cable would have adequate clearance from the engine. The cables make a nice easy curve into the carb. I will probably still add 6" or so of heat shield where it passes under the push rod tubes.I used some 1" heat wrap on the exhaust pipes. It's made by Thermo-Tec and available from Wicks or Summit Racing. My fuel line from the gascolator to the AeroCarb will be quite close to the exhaust, so I want to keep the heat contained. I also plan to put an aluminum/ceramic heat shield on the fuel line.
