The big mistake was trying to put too much Sikaflex on. When the tape was peeled off a lip formed. This had to be cut back. At each session the work was reprimed prior to applying Sikaflex. The same mistake was done on the final finish and a third session was needed. The masking for the final attempt was difficult and not perfect. Best put a little less on and tool the Sikaflex to the masking tape rather than have to remove the damn stuff. All in all, quite a satisfying finish. Beware, the technical sheets state that Sikaflex takes 24 hours per 1/8” cure time.
