The remoted Txpndr / O2 installation is tight and weights around 9Lbs, it took around four or five different designs to crack it. The bottom mounting plate is not designed to be removed but the upright plate mount which the remote Txpndr attaches to is. This enables the Txpndr to be removed as it cannot be slide out, as designed by Garmin, owing to the width of the fuselage at this point.
