The assembly for the Vans’ three lever Throttle Quadrant for the RV8 does not work; unusual for Vans. The accuracy of the Option kits often doesn’t seem to have the accuracy of the main kit; the measurements, parts and instruction all seem to be slightly off.
The Cable Anchor F864 was a good example, the measurements were wrong and a new Cable Anchor was made; the top holes needed to be slightly higher to allow the Bowden cable to pass through. Also, the main body of the Throttle Quadrant and passenger throttle was moved outboard by 1/8th inch using spacer on the top and bottom. This enabled the mechanism to clear the bulkheads. All the bolts were changed for longer ones.
Surprisingly, after the templates for the linkage came out fairly accurately even after moving everything outboard. even after moving everthing outboard.
