Today was pretty productive. I came up with a plan for the tail skid support area. I decided instead of dealing with spacers to just put together the bottom half of the vertical stabilzer spar and install it that way. Then when the time comes I'll slide the top spar channel into it and drill and rivet it. Everything squared up spot-on so I drilled and cleco'd the whole area. I then disassembled it, deburred everything and hit the contact areas with primer. I then reassembled it all and cleco'd it. Then riveted everything in place. I had a few rivets on the aft angle on the shear web that I couldn't get with the riveter. So I did them with the hand riveter. I have 3 left to do. You can make the argument for doing it off the fuselage .. but I wanted everything in place as I rivetted it.
