Hopefully I've turned the corner on the leak issue .. and can get on with other tasks to finish the plane. I ran the engine again this morning .. just a few very small drops ... which most likely is some oil that was in the magnets on the alternator that I couldn't get to. Engine runs great. Only thing I have to change is the oil pressure sender. The VDO 360-001 that comes with the kit doesn't work right with the GRT EIS2000. They say use the VDO 360-004. I ran into this on my previous Sonex and changed it out. The 001 is an 80psi sender .. the 004 is a 150 psi one. They both are 10 to 150 ohms .. so the scaling is different. My oil pressure reads artificially high. I verified this with a mechanical guage. I then got back to working on the cowling .. covering the rivets with fiberglass.
