Brief Description:  Cap strips

I spent a long time trying to find the best method to cut these accurately. Ultimately I ended up using a skill saw with an aluminium blade. Even so, I had to cut oversize due to the tool marks that the blade left. I then clamped the strips on their edge on my table and used a belt sander to sand the tool marks out and reduce to the correct width.

I then polished them on the deburr wheel.) This material seems pretty soft, so even shavings from adjacent strips seem enough to scratch the surface. I'm not sure what's acceptable, so I hand sanded the flat surfaces with 180 grit, followed by a polish with 400 grit sandpaper. Any stubborn scratches I addressed with a deburr wheel mounted in a handheld electric drill.
