It took me a while to figure out how to work with the 0.0125" aluminium. I geuess that'll be a repeated line throughout this project though.
I ended up using my wood bandsaw to cut my atttach plates close to the line, after making copies of the planes and glueing these to the aluminium. Then I used the circular saw with a sanding disk on it to sand to the line. Following this I used the deburring whell on the bench grinder for most of the polishing. For the inside angles I used a 2 inch deburr wheel mounted in the drill press to get rid of all the tooling marks.
