Now that the pre-cover inspection has been done I am off and running doing the fabric covering. My goal is to get all the flying surfaces covered up to the point of spraying on the Poly-Brush by the end of September before the winter weather sets in. I will probably do the spraying of Poly-Brush, Poly-Spray and topcoat paint next spring. I started with something small, the ailerons. Having attending a class put on by the Poly-Fiber people at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015 I had some idea of what to do beyond what the Searey manual and Poly-Fiber manual say. Over three days I got both ailerons covered to the point I wanted. In step 26 I elected to take the optional step of applying Linear Tape to the trailing edge. Covering over the bolt heads was problematic. For the ailerons I did not cut the fabric and tape for the heads to protrude through. Maybe I will go back later, when I have some experience, and redo these areas.
