We got another four days of detail work under our belts terminating the electrical wiring harness in the cockpit area; cleaning up the J7 wire bundle in particular between the D-Sub and the switches; connecting up the Gear Relays; remounting and connecting the Capacitor; tidying up loose connections in the X bundle (Starter, Relays, Grounds, Shunt, etc); hooking up the V bundle (Gear Switch, Gear Lights). I used a lot of 2-pin Molex connectors for the V wire bundle which doesn't go through the Harness Tray but directly to the Centre Console and decided to solder then as well as crimping. In the future, when I check all the other Molex connections throughout the plane I will solder them too.
And now it is time to pack up the hangar again as we are off on a new project assignment, this time in Europe. The plan is to return for a week in August and finish all the electrical except for the yet to be ordered instruments (Dynon, Radio, Intercom, Transponder). The best laid plans...
