On top of the control panel (i.e., dash board) a black dash liner is to be installed, presumably to prevent glare off the otherwise white FRP surface and perhaps also to prevent any objects (paper maps?) placed there from sliding around. I didn't receive any material in my kit for this so went to the local Dollarama store and bought some Shelp & Drawer Liner. Under Elayne's leadership we layed out, cut, and used LePage spray glue to secure the liner in place. Later I added some automotive panel trim tape along the trailing edge.
