Hardik dropped into the hangar today to join Steve and I in covering the Rudder. All went well 'til almost the end (step 56) when I decided to show Hardik how to take out some last wrinkles in the leading edge bottom corner (where the drain grommet will go), With the iron at 350F I managed to burn a dime sized spot through the fabric. Must have been a hot spot? Other than my pride, not too much damage. It was easily fixed following the instructions on page 108 of the Poly-Fiber manual. But first I had to buy some pinking shears which cost a pretty penny ($50). These turned out to be God sent, as they are now my go to tool when cutting Linear Tape, darts, doilies and of course, patches, which are sure to be needed again.
