In the times that I have run up the engine I have noticed that the Hobbs hour meter on the dash has not registered any engine running time. The Dynon EFIS does show running time, but not the separate Hobbs meter.
When I installed the Hobbs pressure sensing switch in the provided port on the Rotaz oil pump I only attached a wire to the NO terminal (normally open?). I ignored the C (common, ground?) and the NC (normally closed?) terminals, because frankly my wiring harness only had one wire labeled for this application. I assumed that the circuit would be closed by the switch's housing touching the oil pump casing.
So now I ran an additional wire from the C terminal to a ground point on the engine.
