Brief Description:  Securing the Turtle Deck Bulkhead

Over four sessions I secured the Turtle Deck Bulkhead, which is a sandwich of aluminum and plywood plates that form an arch in two quarter sections at the front of the turtle deck. They re-inforce the turtle deck FRP structure and also provide mounting surfaces for the fuel lines, wiring bundles, and antennae coax cables that run up out of the lower hull and into the pylon.
In the top photo below you can see the emergency fuel shut-off valve, loosely hanging down, that mounts on the backside of arch behind the co-pilot and within reach of the pilot.
Unfortunately I had to re-do all this work two months later because the sliding canopies interfered with the turtle deck, I tried to reshape the turtle deck curvature to eliminate the interference.
Satisfying work the first time... not so much the second time.
