Back on 8 Aug 2016 I cut open the slots for the throttle and brake levers and for the map compartment in the fibreglass centre console top and left the unit for fixing in place later. The map compartment can have a lid secured with a piano hinge. My kit didn't come with the lid so I will leave the the compartment open on the top for now. Now, over 3 sessions, I fixed the aluminum centre console and the FRP console top in place, primarily using an aluminum bracket to connect the assembly back to the bulkhead pylon gusset. With those components in place I could finally put the hand grip knobs onto the throttle and the brake levers.
