One of the final checks prior to starting the Rotax engine for the first time was to ensure that the propellor was properly torqued. When I had earlier assembled the prop I set the blade pitch to the recommended 12 degrees and tightened the bolts just enough to hold them in place. Now I torqued the blade clamp bolts to 120 in-lbs and the prop mounting bolts to 175 in-lbs as specified in the Searey manual, which seems to be lifted right out of the WarpDrive (my prop) manual. Let's get this baby spinning!
