Brief Description:  Spark plugs

As I get close to starting the engine I am refering more and more to the Rotax manuals, of which there are many: i.e. the Installation Manual (IM), the Operators Manual (OM), the Parts Manual (IPC), the Line Maintenance Manual (MML) and the Heavy Maintenance Manual (MMH). There are also Service Bulletins and Service Instructions (SI). The MML is what I referenced for installing the spark plugs.
I made sure to put di-electric grease inside the booties (for the ceramic and screw tip portion of the plugs) and thermal paste on the plug threads. I was also careful to remove the leads from the plugs using a special rubber covered pliers, as opposed to just twisting them off by hand or using a screwdriver for leverage.
Correct plug torque is 142 in-lb (anything that is what I think is correct - not 180 as mentioned in my video Episode 9, which is a value given in an older Parts Manual version, IPC 74-20-00). I first used my mechanical toque wrench which is close to the top of its range for this setting and then checked with my AC Delco torque metre.
