Brief Description:  Electrical - wiring harness D-sub connectors

Well, finally I wrestled the beast to the ground and put it out of its (mine) misery... over 9 separate working sessions I managed to replace the soldered D-sub connectors with ones with crimped pins. This included J3 (warning lights), J4 (centre panel avionics), J5 (copilot panel), and J7 (centre panel switches). And it worked. Whichever soldered pins had been cross-connected or grounded, or whatever fault they had, the problem(s) disappeared.

When I connected the battery and switched the Master Switch battery side (right side) on, the following worked: navigation lights, strobe lights, cabin flood lights, bilge pump, landing light, fuel pump, and cabin heater fans. Interestingly that the cabin heater fans didn't work at first. I traced the fault to the switch itself which turned out to be defective in some way and had to be replaced.

The remaining centre console switches include the dimmer, which I didn't pay any attention to as yet, and the carburetor heat, which is not yet installed.

Of note is that when the Master Switch is switched on the Power Buss annunciator says "Generator" repeatedly until the square red Power Bus Warning Light is held in for a few seconds. This appears to be the proper operation per the Power Buss Installation Manual, but more on that later as more electrical systems come into operation.

During this time I did some research on how the Shunt works and finally figured out how the high and low amps wires going to the Dynon EMS module were to be connected at the Shunt.
