I purchased the Garmin GTX 327 Transponder used on e-Bay, as to me it is an secondary instrument that has good name brand and model recognition. It came with a mounting cage but it was a mystery as to how we were to fasten the cage to our central panel aluminum face plate. Eventually we fabbed a support out of aluminum angle pieces riveted to the face plate.
