Brief Description:  Tail wheel trolley

As the SeaRey is a tail dragger it cannot be pulled/pushed along the ground like tricycyle landing gear planes by a rod hooked to the front wheel. Instead you need to push/pull it using the tail wheel. With my hangar having a gravel floor covered with a tarp, which is not a hard and flat surface, I needed to find a way to both lift the tail wheel and to be able to push or pull it. With inspiration from a posting by the SeaRey Australian dealer, Rob Loneragan, on the SeaRey.US owners' user forum I came up with a modified off-the-shelf (Canadian Tire) 2-wheeled trolley. Two aluminum angles 18" long were bolted to the lower plate of the trolley serve to capture the tail wheel and the trolley handle was angled back 16" (measured at the top of the handle) to allow the unit to get into position without hitting the rudder (well almost, need a bit more modification here). The shop that did the welding for me added some gussets at the handle welds and from the handle tubes to the lower flat plate.
