Brief Description: Frise Aileron gap seals

This portion of the work, installing the gap seals for the Frise Ailerons, took unexpectedly long, but perhaps it is a lesson in how time consuming overall building a plane is. Spread over 8 work sessions across 3 weeks, the job just seemed to go on and on... running out of rivets, cross-referencing the manual to the users' forum to the reality in front of me, running out of rivets again, double-checking that yes a part was mis-labelled, modifying parts to accomodate earlier work done based on an earlier manual, working around the fact that I had installed the flaps on the plane already (instead of doing this work on a bench), running out of rivets again... you get the picture.
The crux of the matter is that Progressive Aerodyne changed the aileron design to Frise Ailerons not too long before my kit was manufactured in 2014, with the intent to make the Searey easier to fly. According to comments in the users' forum this has definitely been the case.
However, the installation became more difficult, compounded by manual instructions that are confusing and in some cases, just plain wrong. It is crucial to get the bend in the gap seal as diagrammed on page 3 of 9 of the manual, but the aft edge positioning dimensions of 3/8" on page 4 (step 2), page 5 (step 1), and page 6 (step 1) needs to be 3/16" instead to give that shape. In addition, on the bottom side of the seal, the 3/8" needs to be changed to 11/16", for page 7 (step 3). This critical information I am deeply thankful to the users' forum for.
As with the flap gap seals there is also a second seal to be installed for the ailerons running back from the trailing edge of the wing, but this was work quickly and easily done to close this chapter.
