Brief Description:  Oil Thermostat installation

The winning location for the location of the Oil Cooler Thermostat I decided was under the Engine. Reasons being: short hoses, ease of access, looks good. The guts of the mount is the flat plate #7240-041 that PA supplies for the Rotax 914. I had a machine shop bend it into a U-configuration to slip over the Root Tube and Engine Angles (inside width 2 1/2"). I will rivet (front) and bolt (back) it in place. Between the U-mount and the Thermostat are the two Angles #7240-042, also part of the 914 installation. Since the Cooler hangs down a fair bit and keeping in mind concerns I read online about the Cooler mounting cracking, I decided to install a brace from the Thermostat mount to the bottom of the Cooler. For this I used an 8" long piece of 1/8" x 1" aluminum flatbar bolted at both ends and a clip riveted to the Cooler made from two 5/8" long pieces of 1/16" x 1" aluminum angle. I plan to used some Adele clamps on the hoses to secure them in place mid-length once I have determined their final routing.
