Brief Description:  Oil Cooler Thermostat installation

Well this is fun: I have decided to install the optional Oil Cooler Thermostat to cut down on the warm up time for the engine. I noticed this could be quite long when I did the ferry flight from Maryland to Florida last fall. My manual only talks about the installation in regards to the Rotax 914 engine so I am having to be a bit creative (plus checking the Internet forums) for my 912. In the first photo I have 'sharpied' in the different connections on the Thermostat... C1 is one Cooler connection, C2 is the other, E1 is to the Oil Reservoir out, E2 is the Engine Oil Pump (hope this is correct). The 'H' piece is the 914 base plate which I plan to use somehow to mount the Thermostat. The two flatbars are supports that were the wrong size for the Cooler that are available for whatever.
So where to install the Thermostat that keep the hoses short and allows for ease of maintenance? The 2nd photo shows it under the Radiator and the third above the Oil Cooler. I also considered behind the Oil Reservoir and under the Engine. Stay tuned...
