Brief Description:  Oil Cooler installation

The Oil Cooler that PA shipped me looked a lot larger than the 12 plate one I ordered, the mounting angle was too long and the two mounting straps were too short. But I decided to go with what I had, as best I could, and made up two 7" long straps from a piece of 1/8" x 1" aluminum flat bar. I used the mounting angle as it was, it just didn't quite fit the way the manual said it should.
In the owners' on-line forum there are masses of posts about the best location for the Oil Cooler. One caution from one poster about the rear position, used here, is that the mount might crack and the cooler hit the prop... he suggested Lord Mounts for the connection point... a good idea to pursue later.
