Having practiced first with the Vertical Stabilizer, which is already mounted in the Tail Boom, I moved onto spraying the 1st and 2nd coats of Poly-Brush on the remaining pieces of the Empennage. I dialed back the HVLP spray gun to a very low setting for both liquid and air flow and got better results than before. Having the items placed lying horizontal was certainly not as convenient as it would have been if they were vertical. In the first photo you can see poly sheet under the items... bad idea... the poly stuck in some places to the wet Poly-Brush. In the second photo you can see I switched to butcher paper with wooden strips to support the empennage items.
