Today I unfurled that intimidating mass of wire and hose that constitutes the Wiring Harness. I refered to Chapter 36 of the manual for general guidance keeping in mind that it refers to the Searey factory harness which I do not believe is available to the general public. Instead my harness came from Searey Canada (Canadian Light Amphibians - John Dunlop), who had it fabricated by Aircraft Components Inc (ACI). As I unrolled and ran the wire bundles down both the pilot and co-pilot sides of the lower hull, up along the Turtle Deck arch and inside and out the top of the Pylon I was pleased to see how all the branches took off where they were supposed to and the lengths seemed to be just right. This was the easy part I suppose. Now I have to figure out how many of which type of connectors I need for all the wire ends and the tools I need to install them. One step at a time...
