The Engine Pylon installation follows the Turtle Deck installation in the manual. In actual fact there is a lot of fiddling here back and forth between the two chapters. I actually assembled the whole pylon onto the hull in advance of placing the Turtle Deck to ensure that everything there was going to fit and that I understood what all the cut outs were for in the spine of the Turtle Deck. Then I took it all down and moved on with installing the Turtle Deck.
I had to deviate from Chapter 14 because it is for the Rotax 914 Engine install regarding the Root Tube. The specifics for the Rotax 912 are well covered in Chapter 63.1.
Not to much to say here other than I ordered the Inspection Cover Mounting Angle (and Inspection Cover support which comes later in Chapter 17) and two Headset Jack Plates as they didn't come in my original kit.
