Brief Description: Flight Control Assembly - checking
Checking the Flight Control Assembly went quickly because there were few changes or no parts to order following the new manual, other than a few extra washer installations. My kit did not come with the Upholstered Boots for the Control Sticks and I won't order them from PA. Perhaps a friend can make me some custom jobs from leather and thongs. I already had purchased Tolsten CS-6/T Aircraft Grips at Oshkosh 2015 and installed them now... look great! I note that the Tie-Rod part numbers are different than those in the old manual and on my parts, but it made no difference. Probably because a pilot had a problem with corrosion the manual now calls for a weep hole in the low point of the Elevator Push-Pull Tube. Since mine is already installed in the hull I had to drill all the way through from the top surface and out the bottom. No problem.
