Brief Description:  Wings - Fabric - Rotisserie Jig

I have been thinking for some time about how to mount the wing frames in such a way that I can easily cover them with fabric and apply the various coats of spray without help. Steve, Hardik and I have brain stormed this off and on, especially lately once we started fabric covering the smaller flying surfaces and realizing just how much handling was going to be required.
Our solution: a rotisserie jig mounted to the centre wooden column of the hangar. It consists mainly of the Root Tube, the Spar Yoke Leading Edge and the Spar Yokes Trailing Edge secured to doubled 2x4s and turning on a 14" long - 5/8" diameter threaded rod. The wing mounts to the Spar Yokes as it will when mounted on the plane. A secondary support (Black & Decker WorkMate bench worked well) placed out towards the tip is able to catch two ribs to support the cantilevered load.
Now one person (two people is better, as in so many things in life) can turn the wing at will to get access to the top side and the bottom side, in both horizontal and vertical positions.
