Brief Description: Flaps & Ailerons - checking before inspection
In preparing for the pre-cover inspection by the government inspector I am going over all the flying surface frames now, removing labels, cleaning the aluminum, checking & marking bolt torques, and signing off my manual page by page. Today I completed and checked the Flap frames and Hardik did the Frise Ailerons. I told him about my earlier confusion regarding installing the hinge point nut plates and erroneously told him they had to be relocated from being aft of the Leading Edge to below the Leading Edge... which is what he did. Later that night I realized I was still confused and they should be on the top of the Leading Edge (the latest PA drawings are completely useless in this regard). Fortunately with the two Ailerons being mirror images swapping the port and the starboard means no harm done.
