Brief Description:  Figuring out a Fuel System

Installing the Fuel System is going to be my first major departure from the process so far of just following the kit manual step by step. This is because in Canada the regulations require a Gascolator to be installed in the low point of the system and because the 'new' fuel tank supplied in my kit does not come with manual instructions for the Rotax 912S engine installation. The additional instructions sent to me by PA "Chapter 5 Fuel Tank Assembly - Section 5.4 Fuels Lines and Remote Reservoir" are for the turbo-charged Rotax 914 install. Per Alan at PA they have yet to develop manual instructions specific to the new tank and the 912S other than what is already in the old manual for that engine installation with the old tank.
Glen and Bob down in Nelson, BC, have worked up a system that involves a FACET electronic Fuel Pump, an USHER Gascolator, a three way valve for discharging the Gascolator drain overboard as well as a level guage on the tank and a linkage to the main fuel shut off valve. They have been good enough to share their thoughts and a sketch of their contrivances which has passed inspection with the civil aviation authority.
So today Bruce starting putting all these thoughts, parts and sketches together as we plan our way forward.
