Steve, a good hand all around, was kind enough to work with Majibur, a newbie in all regards, in assembling the two elevator frames from steps 1 to 8. No problems were encountered until step 9 where the Elevator Trailing Edge is riveted to the Ribs. They noted that they couldn't get it to match up nicely as called for in the manual photo on page 11. On a later day when I had the hangar to myself I found that loosening the AN4-17A bolt installed in step 5.1 was the key. Then line up the Outboard Rib #3 and rivet it one side, move to Middle Rib #3 and then force Inboard Rib #3 so that it lines up nicely at the corner and 'voila' - perfection! Definitely a deviation from the manual but it worked. Don't forget to tighten that bolt again.
