Manual Reference:  Section 7
Brief Description:  Aft Cockpit - trim actuator

Oh, this was a tough section and I made little progress today. The two Trim Slave Arms supplied are actually different even though they have the same part number #2740-016. One has two holes and the other has five... I flipped a coin and put the one with five closer to the hull centre line. Then despite the manual warning on the this point and pouring over the murky photos I managed to install these arms wrong, not once, but twice (the AN4-20A bolt goes through the centre holes in the arms).
Then as I tried to install the Pulley in step 2 I realized that I had earlier strung the Rudder Cable Assembly incorrectly as it was now clear that it travels under the Main Bulkhead, not through it. Fortunately it was relatively easy to restring the cable which had been fixed into the hull transom in Section 5 step 21 but not yet secured as proscribed in step 22.
However my major headache and game stopper in this Section was during step 3 where it became clear that I probably needed to get power onto the Electric Trim Actuator so that it can be extended. With it fully retracted I can't move onto the spring installation in step 4. I haven't bought the battery yet and in fact have put no thought into it. I'll ask my buddies Glen and Bob down in Nelson if I am correct about this and where they got their battery if that indeed what is required at this point. 1 May update: unbolt and you can 'screw' the actuator rod out, you dummy! But still can't stretch the springs by hand to hook up per step 7.
So onto step 5 and 6 (Elevator Push-Pull Tube), skip step 7 (springs to Electric Trim Actuator), do Rudder Cable Pulley installations in step 9 & 10 and finish off the Elevator Push-Pull Tube in step 11... some satisfying and easy steps after the low of the first four steps.
