Brief Description:  Installing tail wheel

Steve and I struggled installing (step 19) the Tail Wheel Assembly onto the Tail Wheel Strut until he got aggressive in grinding the black paint out of the way on the inside of the C-shaped mounting piece. We also cursed the tight fit and puzzled over the length of the 7/16-14 x 2 1/4" bolt, but got past it eventually. Clearly this is a case of a slight mis-match at the joining of one factory's assembly (the wheel) and another shop's machined parts (the strut).
Step 20 precipitated another torrent of curses (shame on you Steve) as the 'note' here on which end is which for the Tail Wheel Retraction Cable is opposite to the instructions given in Section 5 step 16.3. The latter is wrong (we think), and since the cable was installed back then, we had to unbolt the Boom Tube at the transom, gently lift the tube and fish the cable out from under it and the sticky Rubber Filler, reverse it end for end and re-install... all the while not certain which step had the correct instruction. 4 May update: step 20 is correct - the loop goes forward
Step 22 left us scratching our noggins a bit as we attached the Rudder Cable Assemblies to the Tail Wheel Steering arms. The manual calls for a AN3-12A bolt (standard) but with a Castle Nut and Cotter Pin as shown in the manual photo. Easy enough... I actually picked up on this weeks ago and had ordered the correct drilled bolts AN3-12, as they were not supplied with my kit. But what left us puzzled was the 1/4" gap between the Castle Nut and the arms... why is this? I suppose we will find out sooner or later as this can't be the finished assembly. Hopefully I don't have to buy shorter drilled bolts. The other puzzle in this step is which branch in the Y-end of the cables do you attach here? We picked the longer branches with the part labels stuck to them... stay tuned.
