Brief Description:  Installation of air frame into hull

I have written this log entry up as one event but it was actually spread over three days as I got the hull ready to receive the frame for the final bolt-in. My buddy Steve is back in town and contributed some of the hours, a lot of fun and a delightful(!!!) approach of ignoring the manual and winging it.
We cleaned parts labels off and torqued and marked all the bolts.
Varsol paint thinner, a thin bladed spatula, the scouring pad that came with the KeelGuard and a cloth worked well on both the aluminum and FRP parts; removing linseed oil, labels, torque seal and red marking pen without scratching either the aluminum or the FRP gel coat.
Step 9, installing the Bilge Pump, was left for later.
For step 18, attachment of the frame to the hull, I went strictly with the manual using a combination of 1/8" Plastic Spacers and Fender Washers. I have read a lot of build log comments on the need to strengthen these hold down points with aluminum plates but don't see how any of the mods described do anymore than fill the gaps as the spacers do.
The Hull Side Reinforcement Plates described in step 19 didn't come with the kit but I ordered them myself from Progressive Aerodyne as they seemed to serve a needed aesthetic function. Not having the 1/8" rivet washers described in the manual Steve made some nice back-up plates using .025" aluminum sheet metal that we will install later.
With step 20, installing the Aft Hull Mount Angles, we called the end to a long day.
