Brief Description:  Linseed oil protection - boom tube

With the forward cockpit assembled there was not much more I could do in the confines of my apartment so with the help of my friend Steve I moved the base of my operations to my hangar. With the next step being the Fuselage Aft Assembly Steve and I did the linseed oil treatment of the Boom Tube in the hangar. Fortunately the evening temperature was hovering at 0C instead the average January low of -12C (record of -45C) so the masking tape stuck just fine on the aluminum and the oil hopefully will set up fine by tomorrow because I am planning a full day of assembly.
Steve, being an avid sailor and former yacht owner, knows full well the requirement of corrosion proofing metallic components but more importantly perhaps, the time honoured tradition of christening the launching of significant ventures... so, bottoms up boys!
