It’s finally here. Can't say I'm a fan of the delivery company, seems they may like to stack things and really aren’t equipped to load and unload a 14' long 900lb. box without using some sort of medieval battering ram. The guy on the phone was kind enough to send me an insurance claim form.
Getting this thing home was somewhat of a challenge, involving much orchestration and the help of some friends who I think would not have been as generous with their time and effort if I was getting some flower pots delivered.
JR was the man with the loading facility, Doug the guy with the truck and a trailer to get it home. Both deserve much thanks and credit. JR got it loaded with the overhead crane (he works at a locomotive repair facility), which sure made that easy. Doug got me a trailer, helped me pick it up, bring it home, unload he box (too big for two guys without a ceiling crane made for trains) and spent most of his day helping me out. Thanks again!
