This is a log of my time spent working on Jim Dankovichs 601XL Upgrade.
Today we Bob, Jim and I removed the Ailerons and both wings.
Jim drilled out the some of rivets on the right rear spar to remove the aileron. Bob preped and got the inside opened up and removed the bolts for the wings. The last bolt out was the rear spar then the wings just slid out. We had them supported with tables and cushions while removing the bolts, one guy inside and one on the wingtip doing the wiggle up and down slightly and the bolts came out.
The fueslage was moved to another hangar for the time being and the wing work will continue here.
