Brief Description:  Some painting and starting on the brakes

I sanded more of the runs and repainted the fuselage interior. Apparently, I need more practice on painting veritical surfaces, since I had more runs again today. I’ll have to repeat the process tomorrow until I get it done right.

38-2 Step 2

Create four F-1097 Spacers from AT6-058X5/16.

Since I’m installing Sure-Grip Brake pedals from Effectus Aeroproducts, a fair number of the standard build processes aren't required.

38-2 Completed

38-4, Steps 1, 2, 3, & 4

Locate the F-6115 Rudder Pedal Bearing Block. Unlike the other bearing blocks the holes for the rudder pedals pass all the way through the part. Using a drill press, drill #10 two holes through the rudder pedal bearing block.

Cut the F-6115 Rudder Pedal Bearing Block in half.

Clamp the F-1039B Bearing Block Mount Plate to the F-1039A Rudder Pedal Bearing Block. Match-Drill #12 the holes approximately 1/8 deep into the bearing block. Unclamp the parts, then use a drill press to finish drilling both holes #19 in the bearing block. Repeat this step with the remaining mount plate and bearing block.

Final-Drill #12 the remaining holes in the F-1039B Bearing Block Mount Plate. Deburr the holes and edges of the bearing block mount plate. Prime the bearing block mount plate if desired.
