Brief Description:  Canopy frame bending

I have never seen any pictures of fellow builders bending the Slider Canopy frame but I read lots of different emails and web pages on the subject. Well this web page wont be any different. I figured out why I haven't seen any pictures of people building. It's because there is too much cusing and nobody else should be around at that time. My canopy was a little off as I stated on previous pages so I dug in and started bending the rear Bow. The left was the side that was most out of wack but both rear side bows were about an 1/8" out side the fuselage. I got that pretty close then I started on the rear Lt Bow. I got it so far in the other direction that I tought I would never get it back. I took my time and my feet and got the BOW back to the close area again, but even better than before. So now I kinda got the feeling for the bending technique and how the material sculpts. To make it easier I made a template of the rear Fuselage skin so I knew if I was getting close. I layed it on the ground and followed the curves. So I will call it a night for now.
